Skynet activating...GPS will fail in the future.

I found this kind of interesting. I havent heard anything about this before today while reading autoblog, but apparently GPS sats. and systems are going to have problems in the near future. Luckily I know which way is north south east and west unlike many other drivers on the road. Ill stick to traditional maps thank you, I like not having my car being tracked by a satellite lol.

yeah it was mentioned on CNN. I'm sure they'll get it taken care of. Too many people rely on GPS these days (me included, living in a new area and all)

Actually I'm using mapquest to get to the testing center tomorrow. GPS will be here next week. But everything is so spread out here, I'd spend a fortune on ink and paper, so i figure i'm actually saving money with the GPS over long term. :p

If I can look at a map (like on Mapquest) before I leave for an unknown destination, I will usually be able to find it. I've followed people using GPS's and the directions the GPS gives are weird and not time efficient IMO.

Map and compass FTW! How people don't know how to use them is beyond me. OR! make you own compass with two sticks, or a statically charged paper clip and a puddle of water. Survivorman FTMFW!

At least one of us knows which way they are going. I can't what direction I'm going to save my life. I'm terrible. I'm one of those people that still gets lost in a town of 30,000 people (and I've lived here 7 years). I need something to tell me where I'm going.

I hope this only pertains to a car's GPS, I have a Garmin Handheld that i use for mapping my hunting areas. I walk in over 1 mile to most of my blinds, i definitely need one!!

I have hunting instincts, so I know where im going; the devil with GPS. Although I have a small handheld GPS device, I wonder if it would affect it....
