modding out my focus

So I wanted to get some opinions from the forums that know ;).
I am still waiting for my focus to build. I can call back to my dealer for a VIN# and ETA on Friday or Monday, so that's cool.

I know it's going to be directly to the right of this post by my ...well, absence of avatar, but I am getting an 09 coupe SES. It has the duratec 20, but you knew that if you're cool :p

I was thinking about mods I could do to the car- cuz why not make it my own. I thought the car might look pretty darn sweet if you lowered it with the kit on FSWerks and hell why not put their shocks and stuff on it. My only problem... is how does the SES trim affect this? I mean, if it was a stock baseline focus yeah sure, but the SES is supposed to have this "refined" suspension. I want to see a significant lowering (the kit says 1-1.5 inches) and feel a big difference in the handling if I mess with the suspension. Otherwise what is the point...

Similar issue with the exhaust- but I'd leave that for last of all the things.

Other mods I want to do, if you were wondering...
short-throw shifter (the shift lever is kind of ridiculously tall)
a short-ram intake by steeda
stage 1 and 2 turbo from FSW (being so expensive it's gonna wait for a while)
(in that order because of the ECU tune)

Obviously the more complex modifications to the engine would be my next step, but I really need to get educated on how all that stuff works before I mess with it. Adding a turbo or changing the shifter is one thing... but I don't know crap about camshafts and all that.

And even if I never get all these done, at least it's fun to muse ;) but what do you think about the suspension issue?

chances are you will be just fine, the aftermarket suspensions, if designed for that model should take this into account!
