The biggest gift from Ford to me...EVER!!!

Its 3:30 in the a.m. and I walked upstairs to get a snack and a drink to find someone on the island for me. I see its from Ford with "time sensitive" on the front....I open it only to find my car still has a warranty until the 21st!!! At first I was like where the hell was this two weeks ago when all four of my wheel bearings were bad?? But then I started to think about the issues I have with my car that can be done for me for free now!!!

-Fix my heated seat
-Clutch master cylinder
-Tie Rod (maybe not sure?)
-Paint!!! (how long is Fords paint warranty?)
and of course...
-The clutch!!! TSB talks about "chatter" from the throw out bearing and mine does it quite loud.

What do you guys think i should do or can get done?

-depends on what extended warranty you have-premium-extra-base? yer paint was 3/36--i'd go for the seat, tie rod master cylinder, and the bearing--but me thinks the bearing might be a stretch--pm me yer vin or post it up here and i'll l see what coverage ya got-n-whats covered still,--all up under yer warran-tree!!

First of all, don't get too excited. Ford (and most car companies) don't send you literature to "remind" you that your warranty is getting ready to expire. Why would they do that? They don't want to pay out anymore money on your car than they have to. To know for sure if you still have any warranty left and what kind, you need to either call or stop by a local Ford/Lincoln/Mercury dealer and have them run what is called an OASIS on your VIN and they'll let you know what you have and what it covers.

More than likely, Ford SOLD your name and sale information to a third party warranty company, and the information you received is nothing more than a solicitation for you to purchase THAT COMPANIES warranty (fancy name for insurance).

Based on the year of your car (2002), your 3/36 has LONG ran out, as well as any 5/100 you may have had (not sure if 2002's qualified for 5/100 powertrain, and if they did, doubt the SVT's did.

If you have ANY warranty left, it's the additional coverage you MAY have purchased when you bought your car. Have an OASIS run to be sure.

All SVT vehicles had a 1000k power train warranty, which cleverly does not include the junk clutches on the SVTF

Also, your dealer where you bought the car may have sold your info (more likely than ford) to one of these aftermarket warranty firms. I dealer I got service work done at here in AZ did, I always get stupid warranty cards that try to look official, but are really the snail mail version of spam.
