Please Drive Safe!

http://xlforum.net/vbportal/forums/showthread.php?t=475145

In the link are pictures of a Ford Focus that hit a bus at approximately 90 mph. My guess is that the driver had health issues or fell asleep. It is not always wreckless driving that will cause such damage. Being tired while driving is bad. I personally drive 350 miles across my state to go home for breaks from school. I am typically tired from school and I am guilty of being so close to falling asleep while driving. To aid this I either binge on coffee or call friends up to talk to on the way home.

Anyway, thank the engineers that designed the safety into the Focus! Crumple zones make cars look like a tin can after a wreck but really absorb a lot of energy....possibly energy that would have gone into the driver.

I just thought I would post this as an eye opener that would be a reminder people to think about the consequences of their decision be it driving while you are tired, impaired, or being wreckless.

That's stunning, the little Focus had to be hauling ass to do that kind of damage to a school bus. What a terrible accident, that had to be scary for those kids.

Good lord, you figure hitting a bus with the Focus at half that speed would do that much damage let alone 90MPH!!! The guy may have lived but he surely didn't walk away from it, look at the picture of the how the dash is bent downwards and all that. A passenger would be dead or missing some legs. Still pretty good cars considering the speed he was going.

wow good thing he didn't have a passenger. though this wasn't reckless, like i always say, save the speed for the drag strip, or the track.

The warning is falling on mostly deaf ears......remember this site is populated by persons to whom a turbo install would be their greatest joy. Disclaimers aside, a turbo install is meant for driving fast, usually on the street.

Don't believe me....try posting here that you drive the posted speed limit on the highway. You'll get laughed at.
