My Letter to Ford.

well the other day I got angry at work and decided to drop ford an E-mail and they actually E-mailed me back. here it is for you guys to review. My original message is at the bottom, (of course i mentioned focusfanatics :))

Dear Daniel Persing,

Thank you for contacting the Ford Motor Company Customer Relationship Center
regarding the availability of our European Ford Focus RS in our North American
market.

Feedback from valued customers like you enable us to know what our customer
needs are. We hope to use this information to improve our services and to
enhance the loyalty of our customers. As our Research and Marketing team
continues to develop new and innovative ways of advertising our vehicles, your
feedback is highly appreciated.

However, please be advised that decisions to make these changes take into
account factors such as market trends, customer demands, engineering advances,
and dealership input.

Ford President and CEO Alan Mulally recently said "We continue to take fast and
decisive action implementing our plan and responding to the rapidly changing
business environment to introduce additional vehicles in North America and to
provide outstanding fuel economy with every new product."

While we are not certain if the vehicle you are interested in is included in
this line-up, we are certain these vehicles will appeal to increasingly savvy
customer who value technology, design, and fuel efficiency. These vehicles
will be available for purchase in North America in 2010.

Rest assured that our Engineering and Design personnel are constantly working
on ideas in improving our vehicles to address the customer’s changing needs.
Updated information on our future products are available through our websites
and media releases. If you are interested on our current projects and
innovative vehicle designs, visit us at:

We sincerely thank you for your interest on our Ford products and services.

If you have any other inquiries, please feel free to contact us and we will be
happy to address them for you.

Sometimes e-mail communication does not allow us to gain additional information
that may be helpful in responding to your inquiry. Should you feel that we
have not adequately addressed your questions, please feel free to contact us
via telephone at (800)392-3673.

Sincerely,

Ford Motor CompanyMain Topic: OtherEmail Questions: This is in regard to the
new Ford Focus RS in Europe. My first question is: Why would you not bring this
car to the states? I have read many articles about how Ford is not sure whether
to sell it or not. Please take a look at other cars being sold now, VW GTI,
Mazdaspeed 3, and most importantly the Cobalt SS. There is an entire community
of people devoted to the Focus already, (read: Focusfanatics.com) and the RS would just make it blow up. You guys really ruined the Focus with the redesign
and even the underpowered SVT got many good graces from every magazine, but of course you got rid of that. If you are really interested in your consumers and loyal Ford buyers, PLEASE bring the RS over, theres no reason against a 300 Horsepower Focus. And please for the love of god do not water it down like you love to do. The market here is huge for a car like this, and the RS could possibly be the best Ford I have ever even seen. Were out of the Muscle-car era, bring Ford to the 21st Century. Owner First Name: DanielOwner Last Name:

you basically got a safe answer from them but at least they know that you want the product.

Not to hate on their response, but he didn't really address a damn thing you said. Sounded like he pulled it out of a script.

I hope they heed your words.

nice e-mail........but........

why do you guys complain about the RS being only european? if ya really want one im sure you can go to europe for a couple of weeks and buy the damned thing!!!!!, at worst case it will have to sit somewhere for an ammount of time or else you may have to pay U.S. taxes on the car.

when i lived in germany, my parents bought a stupid volvo cross country, i think that we needed to have it for a year or so for stupid ass Georgia not to charge us state taxes on the car, so we left it in storage for 6 months and then picked it up, but policy might have changed.

if ya want the damn thing soooo bad, go get it.

Wouldn't it already pass?
