2008 focus rs guy says

ok a well known motorsports car shop owner
Alamo autosports or something like that in arlington.

The owner comes into my work today (subaru) and we get on the subject of the focus rs.
he says his friends in europe been working on one since 2008 and its AWD.
he says all european models are AWD.

Im pretty sure he is a /

thats why i dont like alamo. because i know the Focus RS isnt AWD.
when i said they are FWD he laughed and thought i was stupid.

and im pretty sure they didnt come out till this year so 2009 rs or 2010 rs.

thats why ford made the new front suspension "revoknuckle"
and he said 2008? what a freak.
maybe his friends have an ST which converted to AWD or something.

idk maybe im wrong but whatever

Unless his buddy has been working for Team RS on the Focus WRC car.... then yes, he's a douche barge and doesn't know what he's talking about. NO Focus came AWD (US or European) unless you convert it to such. But from what I've heard about the new RS.... you don't need AWD with it

2009 Focus RS: 300 hp through the front wheels baby! Oh yeeah!

the WRC is obviously AWD, and unless he has about 300k, he didn't buy it. the AWD tranny in that is about 90k. not to mention all the custom work. i wouldn't mind having one for my rally car, they don't use the clutch to downshift!! and they are sequential gearboxes

id just like to have the sequential gearbox. theres no auto mode so you have to shift it at all times and when you take your foot off the brake itll roll back like a regular manual transmission. toyota and bmw should have kept the mr2 spyder and m3 (respectively) available with this option

The WRC cars don't make anywhere near 680 at the wheels. Either it wasn't bought or was bought and built.

if it was bought it was bought and built because wrc regs limit the cars to 2.0L's and have a power cap at about 300-330hp

they can make that power easily.
the liters doesnt matter, you can make 1000hp out of 2l.

wrc have restrictors on their turbos so the highest you will usually see is 360, if that.
without restriction 650whp isnt out of the question at all.
