WRX to a Focus

So I'm selling my WRX to get a Focus. Call my crazy. I need something that gets better MPG. I drive about 3,500 miles a month and every quarter, I can save over $1,200 in gas.

So I found a 2007 Ford Focus ST. I love the euro look, the upped engine and what not. My question is, whats *should* I pay for one of these? I know dealers are desperate. Also, are there any problems I should look at?

The car I am looking at... has under 30k. I'm thinking of asking 10.3 for it.

My roflrex :D

Except the turbo, i don think it is down grade...
and ST will be a better daily driver than WRX...
I think you will be happy with focus.
easier to do maintence, good driving experience and very good MPG

That particular car has the SAP (Street Appearance Package), which the dealer may not know about but would make the care more valuable to other Focus fanatics. I'd say talk the dealer down as low as possible. Also, deal only with OUT THE DOOR prices, which include tax, tag, dealer prep, + + +. The car industry is hurtin right now, it's def a buyer's market.

The dealership was originally asking 15.9... then it dropped to 13.9... now its at 12.9.

If I offer something to low, the worst they can say is no and the best the can say is "okay"

To be honest, me either. I mean I love my car and everything and the AWD, but I owned two Fords prior and +1 to being able to go to the junkyard :D.

... cant really do that with a WRX. I love Subaru's, but I have a Subaru Brat I'm working on. Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllo mullet :D

The Fofo would be a better DD.. less attention from police, better MPG, doesn't require 93 octane.

12.9 is not bad for that car. When I was buying my ST there was one w/SAP for 13.9 and they would not go lower. I'de say buy it!

Oh, and just know you are going to want to lower it, get new rims and all that...the car is great, but there is a lot of work to be done to make it nice!

Id come in w/ an offer of 10k and have the cash literally in hand, it may be hard to ignore something like that, though they prolly won't take it. you may get it closer to 11, but cash always tumps!

I'd say offer them 11k in hand. ^^MLB^^, I think 10k is a little too low for a SAP, so 11k is a pretty safe bet.

Plus, if you get it hopped with a few smart mods you could probably destroy a few WRX's. no offense, but there not REALLY that fast....... although with a STI turbo and a few other things there's hardly anything that could stand a chance.

haha!

GOOD LUCK MAN!!!
