TB spacers aren't worth your time and effort to get for a Focus. The gains wouldn't even be worth the money spent on a spacer if there were to be any gains at all. TB spacers are used mostly with carburated engines and even still they don't give that much of a gain. So in my opinion I wouldn't get it. We had posted on this before but when I did a search i couldn't find anything about it but perhaps you will have better luck searching. mlbbaseball will probably post here as well and say the same exact thing as me on the TB spacer. All in all...waste of money and time on it.

It spaces the throttle body further out from the engine. Some also have silly designs to swirl the air. Snake oil.

A tb spacer is for carbeurated engines only. you gain a benefit from them because the air and fuel are mixed more efficiently and become atomized in the plenum, but since we have fuel injection, they are pointless. The ONLY benefit you can get for them on our cars is a the spacer can be drilled for a nitrous port. Thes way it doesn't shoot past the maf and through the TB, instead its evenly distributed after the MAF and before the runners of the IM. so unless ur going w/ the laughing gas, you might as well throw ur money down the drain!! Now if you have a good ol fashion 302 w/ 4 barrels, you might want to do it!!

sure, why not, i think that would be a great idea!!!, only problem is, are the TPS's the same?? or is there one that would work if they are not?? if so, then heck ya!! I mean, you wouldn't get any hp out of it, but if ur just using it for mounting, give er a shot!!
