Question about the FS CAI

Hey guys,

I just got my FS CAI installed yesterday and I just had a question. Does anyone know how often you need to wash the filter? It seems like it will get dirty pretty quick. Thanks.

Yes is is the ITG filter.

Utah streets aren't horrible....most of the time. So probably once every 3 months or so would be good?

I haven't cleaned mine in 3 years. Seen a dead bird fall out the other night. eh, runs still. lol

Rumor from K&N was that after the filter got a bit dirty they actually flowed better. believable because a quick blip of the throttle would create a larger pressure drop and the air would come in faster, all negligible though.

I'd say clean when you feel like it and don't over oil it, light coat is just fine, just enough so you can barely see a color change.
