Exclamation I need help deciding weather or not to sell my car!

Ok i have an 03 Zx3, full body kits, rims, lambo doors, dvd player, racing wheel, momo floor mats, ext...I have an offer from a kid i know, and he is willing to give me $1,000 cash and take over my payments. I currently have somewhere around $6,500 left i paid $7,500 for it originally. If i do get rid of it i want to get another Zx3 stock, keep the body stock and just do suspension and engine mods plus i wouldnt have payments anymore. I also don't know how i would do with out my baby lol but would like a stock one instead. Mind you i am only a junior in high school and only work at wendys.

so basically, you've only paid 1k and ur gonna get 1k back?? if thats the case, then ya, sell it!!!! you get out of it w/ nothing gone, basically, you drove a car around for a year for free!!! besides, for me, i don't care about looks, only performance. i would sell it, buy a stock one, mod the crap out of the suspension and motor and call it a day!! Wait, thats what i did!! lol, i would definitely get out of it!! Car payments suck!!

NO. If you want the truth, the FACTS...the guy will most likely stiff you. He'll wreck the car, then you'll be out EVERTHING. You are still in school. Take some of that knowledge they are HOPEFULLY giving you and just keep the car. Pay it off. You'll be glad you did later on in life.

mlbbaseball should be kicked in the sack for suggesting you get yourself into more debt. Don't think you won't be. You WILL. :)

Well whats going to happen is he will get a loan give me somewhere around $7,500 for it i owe $6,325 or something and the rest will go to a new car, so i wont have to worry about him missing a payment or anything. I will most likely get a Subaru WRX which is my dream car lol, or in general something already boosted.

um, actually i suggested getting him OUT of debt. lets see, he paid 7500 for the car, and owes about 6500. So, he transfers payment and gets 1000k out of it?? basically, he didn't loose a cent!!! he gained the 1k that he lost right back, so i don't see how getting 1k in cash is going into debt!!!

As far as getting a new car, i would wait till ur out of HS till you can afford it!!! those aren't cheap cars!! I would get a beater and have no car payment!!

Seems like a no brainer to me. Though I'd recommend getting a vehicle that is cheap and reliable. No sense in wasting all your money on a car you won't be able to afford repairs on (WRX) IMO.

frist you don have a second car.
why get rid of the car?
At least you don have to start the entire car from scratch.
you can still finish your payment before you go to college.

but if you find one car that is around 3k, then ya get out of it
since you want to have a stock looking car...

i think you have to see any parts you really want from the car you have now.
if so, find out how much and price for labor.
like if you want to do a lambo door mod down the line...
a body kit along the line... wheel and so on...
maybe you better off keep it...
IMO it depends what plans will you have when you have a stock car.
and what mod you really want...
