How long has your car been at dealership?

Ok, So I had some tranny problems (automatic). Im still covered under my extended warranty. I dropped my car off on a Saturday morning and they had my car for 3 weeks and I had no car! I would call to check up and they would just keep having excuses why it wasnt done. Finally, I got it back and it would still make some noise, wasnt near as bad but I could still hear the noise. So I brought it back after only having it for 3 days. This Wed will make them have it for another 3 weeks this time i got a rental. So I out of 45days I have had my car for 42. I call them but half the time the guy I need to talk to is busy and I leave a message and they NEVER call back. So what would u guys do and is this common?

Get a new dealer. If you have the Ford extended warranty it includes rental car coverage up to a certain amount. Call your dealer and tell them you want a car. Most will take Ford's payment as payment in full for the rental car, mine does. It's called customer service. Wig

I agree with the Wigman. That's VERY poor service. Since the vehicle is already there, you're probably stuck leaving it in for this problem, but their lack of customer contact is unforgiveable.

My next call would be to the DEALERSHIP OWNER. Inform him / her that your next call will be to FORD coustomer service and the BBB if you don't get some answers.

Agreed on all points. That's terrible service, don't let 'em off the hook with it either. That's a ridiculous amount of time to be without your car.

I had a problem w/ mine a year back, was there for 2 weeks. my car died on me. they claimed they fixed the problem. I got her back, and they didn't fix the problem. I said i wanted it done right, and that i wasn't going to pay any more for it. They said fine. so i was a little relieved. 2 more weeks, i get my car back. Fixed as good as new, but they made me pay for it!! I was pissed when the owner said that i wouldn't have to and then he personally made me. He said they would hold the car for as long as needed till i paid them. Since i didn't get this in writing, I was SOL. Never going back to that dealer again!!

Well, They gave me a rental the second time. Im just kind of pissed about the time it is taking to fix the problem. I dont have much of a choice on a dealership. How long does it take to fix the problem?

Man, forget about it. Your in Alabama..... and spring break is coming up.....

I'd say Come up to NC and take it to Hilbish where Mike works. He'll have you in and out in no time and with a fair price. I always trust Mike when I have problems and he's always done it quick and I've always gotten a rental.

You just have to find a good dealer that plays the game fair and you'll be good to go.

And MLB, ... MAN! I WOULD HAVE KICKED THAT GUY IN THE FRIGGIN NUTS!!!

haha
