05-07 Drivers: What do you think of this idea?

I am not sure about the rest of you, but I only use the defroster and foot vents, never the ones that face us directly. I removed the vent duct for the center sections, blocked the feed duct to it and then designed this to install in its place. What do you think?

Its cool but i wouldnt get rid of the functionality of the a/c vent as Daily driver car. I have been thinking of a similar idea that i would like to see you make. Make the radio bezel for a single din, with the radio as far down as possible. Then above the radio have a guage set up just like that one going across the top of the bezzle. Wish i had the skills to photoshop it

It is hard to tell from the picture, but these are angled towards the driver.

no way...thats awesome, i was just thinking of taking the vent closest to the driver side out for a spot to mount my wideband, i was thinking of a fiberglass enclosure....

but just outa curiousity if i gave you my trim piece, could you construct a custom single pod like i mentioned above? Pm me if you could...id very interested especially if its a decent price

just some input on this idea. I would be interested in buying one now if you integrated the idea of keeping both vents but adding a gauge cup in the middle of the vent like some of the mustangs have. You lose adjustability of the vents but you can still have air coming out with a gauge pod there.

nice, that's pretty sweet...... that comment about the single din with gauges on top gives me an idea for my 02 come turbo time. I had originally planned to put gauges in the two middle vents, though it would look weird.

btw, apparently massive had made an idea similar to yours.

I like the vent removal ones better though

Thanks for the input. I agree with you, I think ours is better, lol. The gauges need to be mounted where they are easily visible. which means not needing to turn your head much at all to see them. I know when we are auto crossing or at a road track, my attention is on the track and the other cars around me, so keep the gauges easily visible is very important to me.
