Ford Saves Jobs

They're building the Ford Kuga here (Euro only model for now) in Louisville. Not only does this save them money but also the jobs of thousands of employees.

Nice to see one of the domestics making steps to improve their situation, and without gov't money to boot.

Im sorry but i think ford is the only car company of the big 3 that is going to pull out of this. They are still the only company not to take the money for the government. GM is about to file chapter 11 if the government doesn't give them more money. I work for dodge for awhile and their new car suck. The only cool one is the challenger but that get like 9 mpg.

so let me get this straight.....they're building a Euro Vehicle here and shipping it across the sea? Doesn't make much sense to me....but i'm glad people are getting to keep their jobs.

maybe its cheaper to build euro cars here and ship them over than vice versa? chevy was supposed to be doing the same thing with the cruze, build it in america and ship it to euro and then a year into production it would be sold here to replace the cobalt. i dont know if that plan is still set or if chevy had to abandon ship because of finances.
