help with ideas for the 100 acre wood rally

Hopefully I chose the right section for this alrighty guys this weekend I am going to missouri to help wrench on the team hansen subbie with a co-worker but one of the things we want to get accomplished before we get there is
trying to design a more efficient way of holding a 18v dewalt impact,
it can be mounted anywhere in the car as long as its easily accesible and quickly removable.
a couple examples are it could be mounted to a roll bar of the cage or it could be mounted to the trunk floor etc.
basically we're just trying to come up with something that is as simple as 2 zipties holding it in (the current method) but that is more elegant and less likely to fail.
if you have any cool ideas you want to throw into the pot let me know! we're just brainstorming today so any ideas will be helpful!

You could rig something up with some PVC pipe as a sort of holster, is the mounting point a vertical bar on the roll cage, or horizontal...

You could either use one piece of PVS pipe, and maybe notch the top to better hold the handle of the drill, so it can't shift, or you could do something like this. (Don't know why it has bars going across the middle), but this way you could make two different diameters, one for the end by the chuck, and a larger one for the main body of the drill buy the handle.
