General car chat and Question about window tint (reason for tinting)

Dear guys and girls,

I have a problem about window tint. I have been fighting with my wife about buying a car in Austria. I really wanted the focus ST or maybe RS (really want that), but she doesn't want to have a two door car, and it is sitting too low for the hill we live on. So we decided to have a Skoda Octavia Octavia RS (2.0L Turbo 200hp, 6speed) and yellow (love it). And I found out a really great Subaru Impreza (2.0L 150hp, AWD, 5speed). I really want to have a AWD for crazy Austria winter! Which car would you guys pick?

I really want a yellow car, but she really doesn't like it (because yellow is post office color). haha she only want black, but her family has 4 black car in a row, I really want to stir things up and have a yellow or blue!!

Anyway the window tint question.

What is a great reason to put tint other than it looks good? because she think it will make the car too sporty, and when she get older (turning 25 this year) like 30, she doesn't want to be like still in 20s, in a sport car. And she said window tints is bad for eyes.

I told her it will keep the interior cool, interior protection from UV. anything else? I really want to tint the window, at least 10%. 15% will be great. Plus I want to know how dark is 10% tint as well!!

Thanks,

Steven

Marriage is hard... but I will try to reason her LOL
I love you drive!!
yes and I am young, I want tinted moded car!! (Just turn 23 this month)

tint helps make it harder for thieves to see whats in ur car. I found tint makes the car feel more relaxed inside with less light in it and such. Tell here there is nothing wrong with a tinted car, doesnt say if a low riding gangster or anything, as long as its done properly and correctly it can add to any car (even hondas :P).

see if it is the STi it will be different sorry.
STi is like 50000 EURO after all tax...
so it is like 64000 USD!!

i dono how much is the RS cost right now, but ST is like around $50000 USD

but the 2.0L Subaru, is like 38000 USD with STS as option.
with AWD and turbo option open, it seems like a good choice.

well if u want a fun AWD car then ya that be a good choice. Plus u can always get more juice out of it lil later on.

Seems the subbie has everything u want, 4 doors, not black (i think), AWD for harsh winter, safe, some what reasonable price.

Go for it then!
