Symbol removal

Hi, everyone i know this is a ford forum but i just removed all the dealer stickers and tags off my focus, my dad liked it and is wanting the huge dodge ram symbol removed off the tail gate of his truck i know how to do it and all but does anyone know if there is a pin holding it or how to to tell if there is a pin, he does not want to be left with holes, please and thank you.

If it doesn't come off like the adhesive ones did there would be maybe two screws behind it.
You have to get at it by removing the plastic on the other side. That is if it is held by screws and not adhesive

If it's a rather large metal emblem, there's a good chance it has retaining pins on it. Only way to tell for sure is to remove the access panel on the inside of the gate and look in. If that's problematic, take a trip over to a Dodge body shop and ask one of the body tech's.

The hood ones have an alignment pin and I believe the tailgate would too. Just 1 though IIRC, about the size of a ballpoint pen tip.

Best to ask someone at a body shop. Size doesn't necessarily mean anything. You know the new Siverados? The ones with the bowtie on the back that's about 12 feet wide? No pins there. Just took one off a friend's truck a couple weeks ago. LOL
