Bad day... just want to share and let it out.

Guys and Girls,

Such a depressing day. I am still learning about cars and I have so much to learn... I have a tendency of fixing something and breaking other things. During the summer, I was putting a cabin filter, and I crack the windshield. Don ask me how, it was totally my mistake and don want to talk about it. it was bad, i can deal with it, so i leave it...

It go through the winter fine. until today I do car wash. I have done couple car washes, and the windshield was fine. But this time... bad thing happend. I was washing my car (i got my car used), I feel like, poor car, why can't people take care of you. I really like focus, I really wants to take good care of it, however, paint from 2001 is not holding up good, clear got thin (no one wax it or no one wax it right before), rock chips and spider cracks all over the car. and then I start to wash the windshield... nothing bad happen until I try to dry the car... hot sun plus crack on the windshield plus cold water = bigger crack.

OMG, I feel so bad for that crack. I really want to take good care of it. I think I should just move and get a new car, baby it from factory...

Once again, I hurt my car... now I really feel like I owe it a big time, I show get a new windshield of my car... however, I am selling it right now, because I have to move over sea...

Anyway has an idea if I should replace the windshield before i sell it or should I just leave it?

Input please guys!!

Plus if anyone interest buy a focus 96K 5 speed PM me for detail.
I am from KS!

idk how much it cost to replace windsheilds but if its not horrible it might be worth your time to get it fixed and add to the resale value a little bit

Ya, it would definitely be good for you to get a new windshield before selling. I've seen used windshields that are in good shape go for $250+. Don't know if you wanna spend that much. Just throwing that out

id say replace the windshield. i had a brand new 2007 jeep liberty before the focus and went off roading almost every weekend. compared to the abuse i put the jeep through with washboard roads, ruts, flexing suspension, water crossings, getting the whole thing caked in mud and he never gave e any problems (until we discovered chrysler made a boo boo in the manufacturing process allowing water into the ECU) a windshield is nothin'... trust me, your car still loves you

There is shop down here that will sell and install it all for 185. You can probably find the same price somewhere. It would definitely be worth fixing if you are selling it.
