Question iphone dyno

i just got the iphone a couple of days ago and i was wondering how accurate the pocket dyno is...it said that my 0-60 was 9.74 secs and that my WHP was 92...does that sound about right...btw the car is stock except an SRI and resonator delete.

I think it's just a GPS system. My son and I tried it in my car. I don't remember the numbers.

you must have been going uphill, that was a little slow and the hp a little low.

it doesnt use gps it uses the phone's accelerometer.

yeah its basically the same principle as the GTECH

and yeah those numbers seem a little low.. should have been around 9 sec flat 0-60 and whp around 100-110 id think..

course with my gtech it also reads lower that real dynos because of wind resistance/road resistance, etc. so that could be part of it.

That reminds me, they offered.... eather an OBDII or a Plug in OBDII for adjusting the timing.... It was a very long time ago and it's just a fuzzy memory to me. The only thing I knew this hardware was used on the Gameboy Advance in the year 2000..... Correct me if I am wrong because like I said it was over 9 years ago.

I wouldn't trust it, it may give you a ball park figure but accurate, dyno and phone should not be words used in the same sentence.

yeah the only way for it to be accurate would be for it to be mounted in the car and not able to move
