don't use any. most do nothing or close enough to nothing that it doesn't matter. also they put cleaning agents in all fuel now a days

I don't like to use fuel system additives because there is the possibility of them harming other things like sensors or seals. When I do use something like a fuel system cleaner I only do it immediately before a long trip where I am going to run through the entire tank straight. This way the chemicals/additives do not sit in my fuel system for an extended period.

So even valvoline or stp fuel system cleaner might be bad for fords?

I have come from a honda family and I've had good results from using these over the years but has anyone had any "real" problems from using these, and what about lucas fuel treatment?

Or is replacing a fuel filter a better bet?
