Would you make this trade? Focus for older Ranger

I have a 2001 ZX3 with a salvaged title. I hit something in the road and tore off part of my front bumper cover. It has a loud noise coming from the front end that I do not know what it is. It has 75000 miles, auto. The Ranger is a 1996 extended cab 4 cyl. It has high miles but runs great. It needs a new steering column because the owner lost their keys and rigged up a start switch.

Haha, no. No 2.7L's. The 4 cylinder was a 2.3L and the V6's came in either a 3.0L or a 4.0L.

I decided to keep my car. I would be much happier with it if I knew what the load noise was coming from the front. I think I will take it to a shop tomorrow.

Just jack it up and look under the car. Or take off the front bumper and make sure the bumper bracket isn't loose.
