Ford Fiesta Sedan finally unveiled in China

According to the article, this is the same production version sedan that we'll be getting in the states as a 2010 model. Hopefully we'll be getting 3 and door hatches as well, and according to autoblog that will probably happen. I think it looks pretty nice, but I'd prefer the hatch.

Yikes! It's certainly nowhere NEAR as handsome as the Verve concept was...

Oh well, some decent wheels would help it a lot. But it ain't lookin' HOT anymore (like the Verve did), that's for sure. In fact, it looks downright UNGAINLY in that rear 3/4 shot.

i think its because of all teh people downsizing from larger cars/suvs, they want to give as much room as possible. i think this is also why everyone is making 5 door hatches now. just my guess. makes me mad though, all i want is a 3 door.

Actually, the MKI Focus was one of the cars that STARTED that whole trend... (But, somehow, the new "tall" cars ARE getting uglier - I think a lot of it has to do with the new pedestrian-impact regulations which are leading to all these snub-nosed designs on many cars.)

Read the Ford media release info - PRESS RELEASE:

Ford Stages Global Reveal of All-New Fiesta Sedan in China

* All-new Fiesta sedan features Ford's signature kinetic design language; its exterior clearly inspired by the Verve Concept notchback revealed last year at the Guangzhou Auto Show
* Sedan version of all-new Fiesta developed specifically for China with key feature inputs taken from local market research
The Ford Fiesta revealed today has been tailored to satisfy customer wants in China. Carrying out Fiesta's global strategy, additional variations of the all-new Fiesta sedan will be available across Asia and North America from 2010

Autoblog title is a little deceiving to say the least.

I am pretty sure the North American Fiesta will have different front clip (Grille) and rear tail lights closer to the Verve concept shown at Detroit.
