smart move??

hey im actually in the talks in trading my focus but for a better upgrade (or at least i think so). im trading my 70,xxx 01 zts, for a 02 zx3 with a 2.2 d-tec. the zx3 has 120,000mi, a 2.2 d-tec engine, white, and its an auto.

here's a link: http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/918081309.html

now my main question is is this trading is going to be well worth the time? (cuz i talked to the guy, and he's willing to do an even trade) and is the car, with all those features presented, is going to be a good invesment far as performance goes? cuz im also looking into going FI with it even though its an atx.

2.2??? there was never a 2.2 . its either a 2.3 or 2.0. honestly, i would just stick w/ ur zts. its got a lot less miles. I really don't consider that an upgrade unless its a manual. u will have to do alot to the ATX to hold any power!!

if it really is a 2002, then there is a 0% chance of that car having a duratec.

presonally I would look for a better deal, all your doing is trading a less worn out car with slightly less HP for more mileage car with (at this point w/120K) slightly more power, its not worth the trade

Don't waste your time. Keep the ZTS.

I think the guy is either 1) an idiot or 2) trying to scam you. First, there were no 2.2L Duras (as mentioned), they're 2.3L. And second, the 2.3L came in Focis in '03 (in green states only, ie: NY) and '04 in all states.

Don't get me wrong, I love me a 2.3L white hatch; but don't go jumping at any chance to get one...especially if you're gonna get the short end of the stick.

yeh true, plus i called the guy asking him about the exact model, cuz i wasnt too sure about the engine size (cuz i dont really know much about d-tecs) and he said he wrong. IT WAS A Z-Tec!!! what a duesh....so ima keep my car, but i thought just trading up to a car with a d-tec would be well worth it??
