Unhappy water pooling in focus boot - any ideas????

Hi, Im a newbie here and have a major problem. Looking for anyone who can help.
Have 2002 focus ghia hatch and have water coming into the boot and pooling in the wheel well. Told it will probably cost hundreds and possibly more to locate origin of leak. Has anybody else experienced this and does anyone have any tips on where to start.
Please help..... I love my car!!!

I have the same problem sometimes...
Even if I don't drive it, I get water in the spare wheel well.
Punch a hole thru the plastic cap in the floor to let it drain.
I've been told it comes thru the tail light mounting holes, but I doubt it...
Do you have a roof rack?
