sold focus need your help with new car

well i sold the focus for 600 less then i paid for it 4 years ago and now im getting a nice little used small suv to last me the next 6 years while the family and i tour the desert and Europe (im military for those that dont know) these are the prices without the trade in form our 01 jetta that should get us at least 2-3k. we just need something thats more reliable and good on gas. what would u get and why? heres my thoughts. i want the toyota because they can go forever and ever but i want the jeep because its newer and has less miles but the prces for those new cars is a little fishy so what you u guys think?

From what you have listed there, the Toyota is the best choice.

Living abroad, parts will become an issue.

Toyotas are everywhere. Jeeps are not (personal experience).

That said, the Mazda CX 7 is conspicuously missing...

It has the same engine (with turbo), brakes and suspension as an SVT focus.

good on you with teh parts didnt think about that. as for the cx7 theres none in my price range which is under 14k. im not getting a new focus because that didnt fit the family's needs. to be honest unless ford makes some major changes with the foci i wont get another one either unless its just a track car. when i get back to the states i plan on getting a STI it fits all of our family's needs in every way and our demanding on the go moving all the time lifestyle

i just bought a dodge that came with a lifetime powertrain warranty

if im not mistaken, jeep should also come with a lifetime powertrain

i say the 08 jeep, ok so you have to drive 5 hours out to get it, and gas money

do that, and your payments will be decent, AND that one time cost in gas for getting the newest car there will be worth it

word but im leaving the country so that lifetime stuff does not apply i already checked and plus the lifetime does not apply to any used cars only original owners thats straight from the dodge dealership.
