Question Explain the "Street Edition" and "S2" to me

Howdy all,

Pardon my ignorance, but I'm new to the world of Foci.

Could someone explain the "Street Edition" wagon and "S2" package to me? I'm curious about them for potential junkyard parts interchanging reasons. My attempts to search the forum have turned up very little definitive info about these option packages.

Anyone?

The S2 package is nothing too special. It has sideskirts, a front lip, and a rear wing along w/ a different interior cloth pattern. Same fundamentals, kinda like a small stock customizing scheme. it does have a different suspension though. It is stiffer w/ a 21mm rear sway bar, like the svt. Also sits about 1/2 inch lower. Dont know about the street edition

I think the S2 edition also had a special stereo. But I only heard that once, and it was a long time ago, so it could very well be bad information.

OK, so it looks like the Street Edition and S2 may have the SVT suspension and 21mm rear swaybar... anyone have access to a Ford parts database?

It for sure has a 21mm rear sway bar and I believe a 21mm front sway bar as well. At least i know for sure it's not 18mm up front. I don't think it has the same suspension as the SVT. Mine was as high as a 4x4.

The stereo was a 6 disc CD changer, not sure if that was anything special for 2001 though.

The S2 was also the first model to introduce the Liquid Gray color on the Focus.
