Choosing A Tuner........4 Newbies.

Maybe you've already installed some bolt-on parts or done a tune-up or two before you think on choosing a tuner. GOOD!!! you're not totally clueless!

You'll be able to install a lot of bolt-on performance parts goodies with nothing more than the instructions on its package and the right tools. but when your modifications starts affecting driveability (rough idle, loss of low-end power, emissions, noise, etc.), turning a stock FOFO into a performance machine will get complicated.

That's when you'll need to start looking for help. Sometimes you can find the answers in technical articles in enthusiast magazines or in aftermarket books.

Theory is a vital part of the learning process, but it's no substitute for practical knowledge, which can only be gained through lotas of experience.

So at some point you'll need help from someone who knows how everything under the hood works as a system, how each sub-system is interdependent with and affects every other sub-system.

Someone, in short, who's already got The Big Picture.

We call this person a TUNER.

so if you are doing a good job with getting all the parts you want to intall on your car, before you touch somthing important, go and find a tuner.

For sho, you were right on with this on. What problems you can't resolve can be resolved by your tuner. I need to get on the horn with mine monday and set up my appointment.
