HELP: want to install an aftermarket MPG Meter

I've looked at a few online, ranging from 100 to 600 dollars. Seems the scan gauge is my best bet. Anyone have any suggestions, ideas, thoughts?

ScanGauge

The ScanGaugeII is about your best bet. It's very good for MPG's as well as looking at other real time information like Intake Air Temps, Coolant Temps as well as checking and clearing Check Engine Lights. If your mainly using it for MPG's then all around good choice as it'll leave you with other options you will use in the future.

I looked at the Scan Gauge II unit for $170.00. It does a lot more than just MPG. But then someone on the forum suggested looking at the Aeroforce Interceptor (www.aeroforcetech.com) for $239.00. This gauge does all the Scan Gauge II does but fits in a standard 2 1/16 gauge pod. I bought a 2 pod unit for my Focus but have yet to buy gauges.

Hmm, I had been looking at the ScanGaugeII as well, but seeing the 2 1/16 display, I'm liking that ... much cleaner install options.

Yea, the economy sucks so the best thing to get is a piece of paper a pen, and use your trip meter and simple math lol.

thats what i do too. math is your friend. it just seems like an oxymoron kind of thing to me if your wanting to get it just to see your mpg and improve it (to save money, lol) but like you said if you get one that has lots of other features too it might be worth it.
