Out through weekend

As most of you know, i was hospitalized a couple weeks ago for what was thought to be a mild heart attack. I had another attack yesterday and i was also driving on the interstate as i was before. The doctor is saying that he thinks im having panic attacks instead of something to do with the heart. They ran all the tests yesterday and thats what they came up with, so they have put me on a blood pressure medication that has something called a beta blocker in it. They also prescribed xanax, (whatever that is) some kind of nerve pill to get rid of the stress i have been under. He has also ordered me to stay at home and relax through the weekend. So, i wont be at work if you try to reach me. Im at the local library using the internet to let you know and do some reading. I appologise for any inconvience this may cause but wanted all you guys to know whats going on. Thanks for your business. Mike

Sorry to hear of your medical troubles, Mike.
I hope any pray you'll be better soon.

On that note, I believe it would be a good thing for us as forum users to find another source here to answer Ford questions, etc. I'm sure having to answer a bazillion PM's a day from Fanatics isn't included in your job description. (Note: We're not trying to replace you, just get you some help.)

Admins: We need to get some additional resources going........

I can offer my services in the following manner - I have access to a collision parts database, including list prices and parts numbers. The DB does not have a lot of internal engine stuff, or smaller interior stuff included, but most of the main items are in it - body, suspension, cooling, AC, etc. You can PM me for info, and I'll get right back to you. Note: i do not work at a Ford dealer, so I can't GET the parts for you,

mike...

screw the inconvience. you need to get better bro. go lay down. relax. watch some football (or preseason hockey) or some baseball. sleep in. eat some good home cooked food. enjoy the weekend where you actually get to relax.

this is one weekend you need to stop worrying about other people and let them worry about you.

get well soon homie. i hope you get better. just take what the DR gave you and enjoy your weekend and let your body recover dude.

Exactly.. you can come down to the island and we'll chill.
Don't take that zanax stuff man. doctors prescribe depressants that are no good for you.
Get well soon man. God Bless.

just don't drink a lot and then take a zanax. That will you up pretty good (or bad depending on how you look at it).

On a serious note, in college my wife had panic attacks (trying to make good on her softball scholarship). Her doc prescribed her zanax. 2mg I think. It really helped her through her first year of college, and after that didn't need them anymore.

Their isn't anything wrong with taking zanax especially as prescribed. She wasn't on a daily regimen, just took them whenever she felt anxious or like a panic attack was coming on.

Get some R&R and you'll be ok.

I can relate, I've had similar issues mostly in the past. I have a mild heart condition and it sometimes freaks me out. I have gone to the ER more than once for panic attacks and/or hyperventilating episodes. It usually passes in an hour or less, and I have learned to relax and ignore it. Spending the night in the ER sucks.

When I first notice issues, I take one deep breath, it seems to help (just don't over do it). When people are stressed, we tend to take shallow breaths. I also took a beta blocker for several years, it may have helped also. I also think that my issues may be related to certain foods. I try not to eat or drink too much. I have also started walking 1 or 2 miles a day, that truly does help. Exercise is good for the heart and reduces stress levels. I rarely have problems any more.

I hope you get better. Feel free to PM me if I can help somehow.

Bill
