What to do with my '07

So, I traded in my 1999 saab 93 for a 2007 se sedan, white. its all stock. I am thinking of getting a few things to spice it up a bit. what kind of options are there for the '07 models? There seems to be a ton of body kits for the focus, but much less for the '07 year. I dont feel like going overboard, just a different bumper, skirts, and a few engine mods to help out with performance.

Is there a huge range in quality with all the aftermarket body kits?

how difficult is it to take off the OEM bumper and install a aftermarket one? how difficult are the skirts to install?

thanks
Kevin

Hey, first off welcome to FF!

There are some options, but only a few for the 05-07 Foci. I would say the first few steps you should take if you are going for exterior looks and not perfomance would be new springs and shocks, SVT euro wheels and a Focus Sport front lip. Here is a picture of the front lip on a FF member's car:

I would also say do some cheaper things as well that will make the car look great. Paint the grill surround so that it matches your car. Also, crack open and paint your headlights like mine:

You can also nite shade the side marker (as shown above), and the tails like this:

Once you get some of that stuff done you will have some money for some more expensive mods. I would say skip the body kit...only one good one out there, the Pro DMT from Extreme Dimensions. They also just created some new hoods and fenders for our cars, soon to go on sale. I can't wait to get mine!

Well, I can't remeber the thread, but there are a few that will tell you how to remove the chrome with a blowtorch or much sanding. Then, just get some color match at autozone and you will be good!

Here's what I would do, First get yourself the Factory SAP Kit:

Get some Black Headlight Housings:

Then drop it and throw some EAP Rims on it:

Then do a Cold Air Intake and Exhaust.

Just a few mods that really change the look of your car IMO. I have yet to see a white SAP sedan yet so I think it would look HAWT!

BTW, Welcome to FF

It works, I've done it, it just takes some time.

You just heat it untill the chrome coating cracks, or bubbles up, then move on, not really in the direct flame. Just move around in circles the whole time and don't stay in one place for long at all.

No it's true, some people are using a blow-torch, or if you feel safer try using a heat gun/paint thinner.

Ford has the Street Appearance Package available (but dealership prices YIKES!):

ROUSH use to make some nice side-skirts (there's usually somebody selling a set of these in the classified section):
