Ok guys, I see the idea, but I have the {another company's Duratec} cai and if you have read on the forum that cai is 2 peices. where the maf sensor sits there is a plastic insert that if I wanted to, all I would have to do is pull that insert out and I would have a 3.25" maf opening. so how is this product going to help someone in my case? I'm interested and have looked on the forum to see if there was a way to increase air flow, this being one way.

Typically this product will be used for those who are interested in making up their own turbocharging or supercharging setups. However for those interested in having a cold air intake (CAI) or short ram intake (SRI), etc. you would need to fit this in with your existing inlet tubing, or get new tubing, couplers, and cone style filter. One thing to remember is that it will require new tuning since you are increasing the cross sectional area of the sensor tube.

From what I am getting out of this, you are thinking of splicing in a product like our maf tube in order make a full 3" intake like the Cosworth intake is (was). You will gain more power and tq for sure but you will need to retune the car due to the increase of cross sectional area of the maf tube.

I missed what you originally posted, but yes, we all know who makes the intakes around here and I do not think anything wrong or dishonest was ment by the edit. Feel free to send me a pm with any specific questions you have in regaurds to a custom tube in order to make this work for you if you are interested.

Cheers,

Jason
