Help... Car keeps getting hot..

Sup Guys/gals...

well im having this problem with this 02 galant v6 3.0 etc...
im driving and the temperature raises not all the way up but by 3/4 then the fans shoot in and it lowers a little bit less then half but as soon as the fans shut off about i would say half a mile it starts raising again the car never maxes out because of the fans or the weird part is im sitting in a parking lot to see if the temperature goes up it takes longer then when im driving idk .. i check the coolant and filled the reservoir.. could be my t-stat? HELP!

Your thermostat may be sticking, or your fans may not be kicking on soon enough.

to test the thermostat you can take it out and put it in a pot of boiling water if it opens up then it's not the t-stat...or just buy a new one. You check all of the radiator hoses?? Get the rad flushed?

i check the hoses theyre not retaining any fluids water pumps seems okay... thats why i was hoping it was t-stat... if i have the ac on the temperature will stay below the line so idk
