Does anyone else find it odd that Ford is an american car company, yet the models we get here are crap compared to over seas?

There are business reasons why we can sell them in the United States for president says.... Reason #1 Putting there finger up there butthole and make it seem like they are doing something, Reason #2 They have too much time on there hands to be working importantly, Reason #3 They don't want to spend money.

That list might go on and on.

If I could sell hundreds of those. My top seller is the focus. Poeple don't buy the focus because of money, luxury, feel, ride style, or anything outside of MPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I can give a guy a 65 MPG car his jaw would hit the g ground. Ford you need to wake your lazy ass up and move those diesels over to America. Hybrids don't even get 65 MPG!!!!!!!! What makes you think americans won't say "O shit 65 MPG! SCREW this Prisus i'm getting myself a clean diesel for 10k LESS!!!!!!!!!" Ford wake up, and smell the freash air. A 65 MPG car will sell like g hot cakes. We'd move them by the dozen!!!!! Esp if you kept the cost down. Stop coming out with new trucks, mustangs, and SUVS and take your european line up such as this and move it over here!!!!!!! You will make millions. Ford you are a g idiot if you think Americans aren't going to buy a 65 MPG car. (i'm sending this to ford)

well put...honestly I don't have any money right now, poor college student and I'm paying of bills on a guitar(PRS). I would sell my car, and my guitar and go back into car payments for 65mpg...oh yea, THATS CITY PEOPLE IT GETS 70+ ON THE HWY. Plus it looks freaking hot. Also bye bye prius. Beside gas mileage, the fiesta would probably be more practical, not to mention it is A SHIT LOAD MORE FUN TO DRIVE. And the tq you'd get from the turbo diesel, the engines is probably small but probably plenty to get that car up and going. Bring it here....please. Every other "fuel efficient" car would be old news.

Hmm you think that toyota and other companys are paying Ford not to bring it to the states, or the government and oil companys are too? Think of how much hurt this car would do to them?

I live in europe, a US spec car will not pass regulations here. It goes both ways.

Yahoo has this featured on its homepage.

Seems that the reason they aren't bringing it over is because Ford doesn't think it will sell because it runs on diesel.
