Question what to do

ok so i just got my wheel bearing fixed last sunday...it was driving fine and there was no more noise...but afew days ago i would here a loud popping nois when i would go to turn...so i took it to the place were i got it fixed and they said that now i need new springs and struts they said that it would be $500+ to fix it so should i bend over and take it or should i just go out and buy a lowering kit or coilovers and replace the whole suspension?

that is a rip off for that kit. if u can find it saleen has one that also includes the front and rear sway bars. i think they are easy to install but it also depends on if ur mechanically inclined or not. remember if u are putting in shocks and struts to use a spring compression tool.

A popping noise when turning should not be a spring or strut problem unless a spring is broken or something awfully weird. Two things come to mind that could be the real problem.

One is a CV joint.

The second and more likely is the top strut bearings. If these are worn out they will pop like a mofo and chances are the shop knows this is what it is. The only problem is you must remove the strut and disassemble it to replace them so they are saying Oh you just need whole new assemblies. Classic Ford jacking with you again. I would bet money on this being the real problem.

Oh and BTW new ones will run you around 30 bucks each from Rockauto.com. And if you do this install I would suggest new ones anyway.

Well really with all the labor involved in getting at the strut bearings yeah its probably going to be better off to upgrade anyway.
That link is a link to massive's main website lol. Are you looking at the Saleen kit?
