Focus Texas July Sales A Bombshell!

Here is an excerpt from the news posted today by Ford:

“Focus continues to surprise and delight customers throughout the country, but the bombshell is in Texas, where Focus retail sales have almost doubled,” said Jim Farley, Ford, group vice president, Marketing and Communications. “If we can increase small car sales in Texas, we can increase them anywhere.” Year-to-date, Focus retail sales were up 91 percent in Texas and 46 percent nationwide.

Nice find. So, thats where all the Focus' are going, lol. We,here at work, have trouble just getting them. Were down to 7 on the lot and no other dealers will sell them, dealer to dealer, that is.

I have noticed an inordinate number of 2008 Focus's, mostly 4 doors, on the road here in Central Texas, including right in my own neighborhood. There are Focus's on every street! Since the Ford F150 was the best selling vehicle in Texas I guess those buyers have continued to buy in the same family of cars, Ford.

Glad Ford is doing well, I remember a few years ago dealers were trying to unload these cars for $500-$600 below invoice and they were having a hard time in TX.
