Not a Fiesta, but its little brother...New Ford Ka

Official, the new Ford Ka has been revealed and is coming out. Some cool information on it, decent engine choices and a possible turbocharged Ka ST. No idea if Ford will bring it here, but if gas prices still go up and people still want more small cars, then maybe. but it is pretty small and we are getting the fiesta so I guess they'll see how that sells first.

Hmmm... not nearly as original looking as the original (which I loved), but certainly a redesign was overdue. I'd been wondering for a while now when/what Ford was going to do with the Ka...

Not bad - looks like a Fiesta someone left in the dryer too long.

EDIT: just checked the interior shot - that's as WILD as the exterior is conservative. Looks like Fred Flintstone's vision of the future.

EDIT II: Now that I've stared at the pics some more while picturing the original 12-year-old Ka - with its 12-year run (!) - in my mind, I realize that this new one's exterior is a major disappointment. I think tons of people will defect to the Fiat 500 (I certainly know that I would).

haha seriously, its alittle car, I can't wait to see the curb weight specs on it. Which reminds me I still havent seen anything about the new fiesta's curb weight. A Ka ST sounds great, even if it would only have a 1.4 or 1.6L turbo engine, you could probably still tune it north of 150hp to the wheels and being so light the car would probably be a blast to drive.

Mkiii Focus, Fiesta, and Ka....here's hoping Ford dominates the automotive world again. Also if they are super good handlers, they'll dominate auto-x too. I honestly wanna see a bunch of fista and Ka's kicking ass at an auto-x, it would be so awesome.

I like the little cars, but I agree that Ford should style things to set the cars apart. I'm sick of cars from all manufacturers that look the same. Corollas look like miniature Camrys. The new KA looks like a miniature Fiesta. The Fiesta and the Focus will probably share lines also. I can understand using similar parts between models in order to save costs, but can't you design slightly differently styled bodies around similar parts- like use the same headlight assembly, tail assembly- but have different looking body lines around. Anyway, just my thoughts, best wishes to Ford, and I hope we get an Ecoboost Ka over here, or a diesel Ka.

LOL I was just saying it looks like a mix between the mercedes smart car and the honda fit. I dont like the interior at all but it's kind of a cute lil car.
