Question Humming sound

I hear a humming sound when ever i put on the ac is that normal or something i should look in to?

no it's really loud but it's there...if rev it goes away but comes right back after a little while and you only here it when the car is idling

its really hard to say. If you can pretty much only hear it at idle, then you may havd a loose pulley somewhere and it is causeing the humming. I really have no idea w/o hearing it or looking at the ware and tare on the accessory belt/pulleys. although, i don't think thats the problem as it is a very new car!!

my guess is its the blower motor. Revving might just cover up the sound. but def. let us know

don't worry about the slight humming sound!!!! My car does it too. I jsut got my car back from teh shop and they said it's not a bid deal. It's all in how the belts are aligned/tensioned.

My guess is the squirrel cage is a little out of balance (blower motor wheel). Pretty common with injection molded parts to have them ill weighted and off balance. If off balance enough it can really cut the life of the blower motor down, but generally it's just an annoyance.
