Funny storys of racing

Was talking with a buddy of mine about racing and remembered a funny story that happened to me. Just finished work at the local track and as I was coming home on a friday night, about 11:30pm, a young guy pulls up in Honda Civic coupe, I was in my old 93 Ford Escort GT, cant remember if he was modded, but as we sat at the light, he started to rev up and was rocking the car(5-sp). I was tired and did not want to race, I do not support street racing, so I waited for the light. The light turns green, and he stalls. I drive away now wishing I gunned it. He caught up to me at the next light, and same thing, rev up and rock the car. Light turns green, this time he did not stall, but I swear he was redlining and only going 10km/h, I could hear his motor through the intersection. Riding the clutch big time. This made my night, if you are going to race, be sure you know how to drive first. Anyone have similar experiences?

I used to be one of those guys, in my mom's old car... A Nissan Quest lol. Stories like this happen very often but I don't want to get suspended again so I'm not telling any stories of street racing.

Typical young-in, if it were me I would of totally ignored it and let him make a complete fool out of himself..... because I know as soon as he darts it, there would be law enforcement up ahead and pulled him over; then I'll just smile, laugh, and wave!

He must of watched 2fast2furious or something to get him all fired up and so called confident. *LOL*

That actually happened to me. I was coming home from getting my windows tinted when some kid pulled up beside me in a beat Civic si. He was reving his engine and wanted to race. I rolled down my window and gave him a "go to hell" look. The light turned green and he took off like a bat out of hell. Up ahead was a known speed trap, and as luck would have it, there as a CSP sitting down at the bottom of a small hill. The CSP lit up and pulled him over. As I passed them, I honked and waved.

Just one window, and yes, I wasn't thinking. Fortunately, I didn't roll it down very far and I didn't screw it up.

I was driving on a back road doing 60 (the speed limit), and came across a really badly modded vauxhall corsa doing 40 so I passed him. A second later he's right up in my rear view mirrors to overtake me uphill. He thrashed his engine and pulled out and as he was passing me he must have messed up a gear shift cause all I could hear was a really loud grinding noise. He lost power, had to drop back behind me and pull over. How come so many racers are retarded?

As I said, I do not support street racing, but there will always be people who want you to race them and something happens to them, even in normal driving. I remember another guy in a BMW flying through traffic going well above the 80km/h speed limit, and I was thinking that I hope a cop is up there somewhere, and sure enough when I finally saw him again, he was pulled over getting a ticket. People who think they are impressing everyone, say a dude in a Corvette hammering the throttle and beating a Lada through the light, why don't they race on the track when they have the secret street night? Impressive is beating something of equal value. If you beat my 08 SE with a Ferrari, you should, very embearasing if you don't. Nice to see people who think they are untouchable being brought back into reality.
