Only Happens to Me

So yesterday while running errands for work I kept hearing a noise reminiscent of a rock or something bouncing around in my wheel well.I got out and check it on my first stop and found nothing out of the ordinary,so I went on my way.5 minutes late I go to take a turn and nearly break my arms doing it.So I figure my power sterring fluid musta leaked out, despite not seeing anyfluid in my parking space.A minute later my battery light comes on,so I abandon my adventure to head back to the office parking lot and popped the hood. After a quick glance over I found the culprit-the cap from the back of my headlight had come loose and wound up right in the path of belt, getting it wedged between the inner frame and belt setup.A bit of fidgeting it loose and a quick re-belting, and it was good to go.

But seriously, has anyone even remotely heard of a similar thing before? In all my time driving and lurking on car forums I havent come across anything like that.I swear Im cursed...
(And of course 2 days prior i had cleaned the engine bay and both caps were fastened securely)

I'm always afraid of something getting in the way of the belt path. I've had HID ballasts hang low and rub. So I'm always nervous about what I put around that area.

Good thing you got it fixed though! Any signs of damage anywhere like on the belt?

That's almost as bad as letting your blinker fluid run low.
