My Focus

is on last legs, at just over 120,000km I have just spent around $2000 Cdn for a full brake job back to front, $920 for a replaced headlamp assembly due to a wiring short which melted the bulb connector wires. I passed on a transaxle solenoid thingamawhatsit at $1400, and then the light came back on and I had 4ways for last 5 km to work. I do not know if it will run again.
My Visa is maxxed out, I cannot afford to run my car if it keeps breaking down. I need a cheap and dirty used car most likely, but that ain't going to be easy.

car stalled at low rpms, I stopped and restarted at every light to nurse it home for 40km, I don't need this expense, but I need my car.

Find a '98 Civic owner and tell him you'll trade him straight up for it - your's has "SVT-like performance potential". He just has a Honda. He might bite.
