Air car... doesn't seem so bad...

I'm liking this idea, I'm not really a fan of electrics or hybrids except for the Tulsa Roadster. But if this is true a car running on air that advertises a top speed, its gatta have a little more bawls than a prius

Tata's gonna make something of themselves, I think. I mentioned this car in another thread and someone didnt believe me that they were going to "make a car that runs on air".

Now we just have to figure out how to mod it :)

That might catch on pretty soon, atleast it's better than hydrogen or all that other alternative rubbish.

Yeah, I just read a very long article about how Tesla was founded, and I've discovered that no matter how cool it is- the transmission will have to be replaced after a year to keep performance. They had plans for a 2 speed transmission, but they couldn't find anyone who could build a 2 speed that would spin to 14k rpm and last more than a few months. You might be thinking like I did that Formula 1 cars spin nearly that high, but those don't pull out into the street to take a drive to McDonalds.

Building a feasible car isn't as easy as all the dotcom billionaires funding and managing Tesla believe. Sure, there's a car for sale out there, but it has it's share of problems like all other vehicles. What about customization? Add neons, decrease mileage by 50.

Anyway, neat idea, but other ideas will fare better for the average driver. I have a feeling that there will still be Ford Aspires on the road when Teslas first cars are museum pieces.
