I got one a while ago and realized that none of the items were really my car specific(the were universal) and weren't very nice items. You still have to spend money on the items in most cases and your just getting the items for a cheaper price. Also they'll want you to do a bunch of sponsoring of their product for giving you the item for $100 cheaper. I canceled my membership right after I was introduced to the wonderful world of EBAY. There you get great products for great prices. W/O a membership fee and w/o having to sponsor anyone.

So.... if you sponser to whomever, what do you get back? Im no sponsor or anything, but to me it just seems ridiculus to pay someone to get there name on your car.

It depends on the type of sponsorship program that you become enrolled in. There are all kinds of different programs, from simple free sticker packages, all the way to full blown sponsorship which involves a contract that basically tells you you have to do whatever and go wherever for the sponsor. Those type of contract usually mean you get 100% parts paid for but they can take away your car if you don't follow the terms and being on the circuit. I remember it was a big deal a couple years ago because some honda owners got their cars taken away because the sponsor was expecting them to be in LA then NYC 2 days later and their car in pristine condition, needless to say it didn't work out. Some sponsors will let you in a "club" which gives you like 20% off parts or something but most of the time the prices are already jacked up 20% so you're paying retail anyway. 99% of sponsorships are lame/bogus/scams. Never pay for it.
