cold air intakes

im looking to buy an intake for my car but im not sure what ones are good and what are bad. i just saw one on this site, http://www.bomzracing.com/index.asp?...ROD&ProdID=789, but im not sure if it is good or if it will fit my car. i have a 2007 zx3. if anyone would help i would really appreciate it. thanks everyone

That looks like it could fit, I'm not 100% sure though. Some people will say a true CAI will cause Hydro-lock in the motor, although I've been running a AEM CAI, with no problems after driving in some insane down pours.

You won't hydrolock if your smart with your driving, Just remember the true cold airs sit like 10 inches from the street so be weary of any puddle. I recommend a cosworth if you can find one, they are a little more pricey but its great quality and designed specifically for the focus. That's what I have and its great.

It doesn't look like to me IMO it's ment for Duratecs, the website isn't being specific when they say Ford Focus 2000-Up+

I have seen CAI that was ment for Duratecs but it feel like this isn't.... But.... I could be wrong..... Maybe someone else on here would say other wise.

If you want a CAIS that was functional, have you considerd the BMC kit. We've been using the CDA 85-150 kit for years and is spot on:

You'll just need to get some hoses to fit, but the do a whole bundle for the Mk1 anyway.
