2000 zx3, zetec, 5-speed manual. 112542 and still runnin strong :D

had a new fuel pump, new rear seat hinges (not needed), rear wheel bearings(not needed), battery cables (not needed).. all recalls and fixed for free thanks to freedomford. :D also had a new flex pipe put in, new fuel filter, new clutch kit n' flywheel(my fault haha), new e-break cables, and it still needs a front wheel bearing... oil changed every 6 months, every other fluid flushed and changed once a year...

goal - 300000 miles. :D

ordered cylinder today because key wouldn't turn. Called Ford today and they said they've never heard of such a problem. I hope new cylinder works. Mechanic said I might need timing belt. Soon, if this continues, I will have to host funeral for my car.

My rpm goes to 4 or 5 even when I have not increased speed. My car is automatic. Does that mean my clutch is going. I don't know much about cars so please forgive dumb comment/question.

I admit it. I'm stupid. I said I have an automatic but asked if something was wrong with my clutch. lol. The ignition is the worst thing to happen. I bought it used in 2004 at 45,000mi for $5,000. The posts I've read today have made me laugh to tears. The best was "I'm afraid of my car." But now I feel better. Will have to do some telecommuting this week. My car's name is VIP Destiny and she has been a very important part of my destiny. Thus, her name. Can anyone tell me what I should do to extend her life to a minimum of 500,000 miles?
