how do you get a rusty tail pipe? they are stainless steel. I wash mine when I was the car and it looks new.

your centennial edition probably came with a stainless tip, or maybe they started putting stainless on the new ones. it probably isn't stainless all the way up to the cat -- that would be quite expensive. my '01 has a plain (ugly) steel pipe sticking out the back from the muffler.

someday i might get around to putting on a flex-back system and i'll go stainless or ceramic-coated at that point, but for now i think tack-welding a $4.99 pep-boys chrome tip on will suffice

My centennial didn't have a stainless tip.

Those chrome plated exhaust extensions will discolor and rust over time with the water that comes out of your exhaust. I had one for a while but eventually replaced it with a more expensive (think it was around $17) stainless tip. Hard to find stainless tips that aren't riced all out to hell though ;) Had to look through a whole lotta 4" and "dual" exhaust tips with those resonotars before i found just a plain one.
