I hate my seat!

I love my zx3 but I hate sitting in it for any drive distance. The headrest is angled forward which hurts my neck, and the back support is cupped and hurts my lower back. The only comfortable position is for me to lay my seat back to an inclined position (kinda like doing incline dumbell presses at the gym) but then my arms are way out and can only hold the bottom of the steering wheel. I pulled the seat up but my knees hit the dash.

Bottom line, do they make a seat with lumbar support, and can I change out the head rests? I've seen those wedges you can buy to go behind your back but with the rest of the seat sucking just as bad that would just be a waste of money.

They make a lot of aftermarket seats, you just got to look around, try the vendors list in this forums marketplace, they even have heated seats

Try to get SVT ones. they're extremely comfortable and probably cheaper than many aftermarket choices. People sell them on here or you could probably find them in a junk yard

They are probably more expensive then aftermarlek cause they are hard to find..
Your best bet is ebay and ff.com... I tried to find an svt in the junk yard once and the nearest one with 100 miles from me.. If you do find one in the junk yard strip it down and sell the parts on here

The EAP recarro seat for sale are really nice. I have them in mine and have never been uncomfortable in them. These are expensive though... full leather, but they are top of the line.

I agree the Focus is rather uncomfortable to drive after a while. I cant get it adjusted so that my legs arent scrunched up into the dash and I dont have to lean forward to reach the wheel comfortably. Yes I have equal proportions before you ask. Its too bad the steering wheel doesnt telescope.

Ive never had a problem with my seats in the ZTS but it could be because of my build, my head basically rubs in the roof, so the head rest never touches my head, and i have to have the seat all the way back or my legs get smashed.

I think I'm exact opposite that. I love my seats in my ZX3. They are way more comfortable than the Honda Accords seats in my wifes car. That little lumbar thing has to be the most uncomfortable thing in the world. Of course I do have some pretty thick seat covers that cover the entire thing. That might help also.

For a 6'2" person like me that has driven Escort's and Focuses all my life, Im pretty mich use to it. Almost the fact that when I traded my 02 SPI for my 07 Duratec the seat was indeed a tad bit different than before; it seems to me the slightest difference between last gen's and 1.5 gen focuses was the seat mounts IMO the 07 was moved up just by a hair.
