Trying to sell my car... how much?

Ok so im trying to sell my car so i can buy a G35. I figured id try selling it now since im not in a rush to get rid of it. Cars in my area (with about 20-30K miles) are selling for between $10,000 and $14,000 so im not sure what to ask, im thinking $13,500 but im not sure... below are my mods and some pics (mods being EVERY little thing done to it..)

Mach 1 lip, Euro tail lights, steeda SRI, focus sport stealth exhaust, sony xplode headunit with 2 bazooka ten in subs, neons under driver/passengerside footwell, neon underbody kit, tint (25% back 35% front i believe), and rims/tires (although tires are almost shot.....)

will be selling with all original parts including tires which only have 4000 miles on them.

here are some random pictures...

i know the pics arent too great, but ill be taking more tomorrow.

I would go 13,500. Wouldnt hurt to try that. People will always low ball you on everything. I would say Try to sell it for that and take as low as 12 for it. Remember You can start high and go down a bit, not start low and go higher. Impo I would pay 12-13 for it. Good luck with the sell and have fun with the G35 when you buy it.

Im thinking about removing the neons, and the system.... i dunno if i should put the stock system back in or leave the head unit....

i also thought about making it stock and selling each part individually but i kinda jacked the price up a bit to see if i can get more than what the stock focus around here are going for...

Since you aren't in a rush, I'd try to keep it like it is and try selling it. If it doesn't sell, or you aren't getting what you want for it, then put it back to stock and sell everything separately.

I've sold a lot of cars. I have a few rules I'll share with you. The main rule is: some idiot will always give you what you want for the car. So to answer your question, the car is worth what you want for it. Now that you have that figure, add $1k or $500 to the price. Most people will immediately offer you $1k less than you ask for an expensive car over $10k, and $500 less for a car under $10k. The biggest thing with selling a car is how long you want to wait to sell it. Yes you can find someone who will pay what you want, but how long will you wait to find them- and is that important to you? Waiting shouldn't be important if you want to get the price you want for your car.

The next rule is DON'T rip yourself off. Car buying and selling is an emotional process. The buyer gets all giddy looking at their dream car and going over the motions of customizing it in their head, and the seller is also dreaming of their dream car while trying to sell. YOU are your biggest thief throughout your life. Resist your inner thief and your dreams of the "perfect car", because I promise you, no matter how freaking wonderful your dream car is- IT WILL BREAK DOWN and become as much or more of a POS than what you currently drive. The least you can do is make it a less expensive POS.

When you do go to buy your next car, don't be the idiot. Don't dream of how great the car is going to be once you get it, or imagine all the hot car chicks or car guys begging for a ride. First, look closely at the car's value on NADA and other resources, look for a private seller, and examine the car closely for signs of body damage. If you don't know how, I'll be happy to explain a few things to look for. BE VERY PICKY! One of the worst things you can do is trap yourself into NEEDING a car. You want to be a car BUYER, not someone who needs a car. The best deals will be had by someone who can wait until the good deal comes along. Car NEEDERs will end up getting some re-painted, wrecked nightmare that will randomly crack windows and always have suspension problems that can't be fixed- not to mention it's nightmare reactions to accidents because it's already been wrecked once.

Best of luck, and I hope you get what you want for your car!!!
