do you notice idiot lights?

Thanks to my Focus I don't even notice dash lights anymore... pretty much there are always two lights on on my dash - 1. CEL for my post-cat 02 sensor; it turns on and off, I've had it read a few times and confirmed that the 02 sensor is the problem, just waiting for a weekend when i can do it (have to do it in the driveway so it has to be warm out) 2. TC light - i turn it off pretty much right after i get in the car, I've thought about just removing the damn light, but don't want to tare into my dash.
the bad news is that im pretty sure my battery light came on, but I'm just not sure since when i looked at the dash i swear i saw it turn off. I'd like a gauge like i used to have in my Mustang; damn Ford and thier damned lights... I hate lights.... anyone else not notice the idiot lights? anyone else miss looking at gauges instead?

wow they still put shift lights in cars? i thought that went out in the late 80's... coincidentally I've never had a shift light in a manual trans vehicle that i can remember (88 F-150 4spd, 92 mustang 5spd, 03 SVT focus 6spd) however i think my friends 85 mustang had one...that was annoying... and my girlfriends 95? saturn had one...it was the only thing that "worked" on the car still :-P

The anti-theft device indicator light won't stop blinking when the car is not running. This just started happening after I neared the end of a 1,000-mile drive from Phoenix to Dallas. The light is supposed to be disarmed when the car is locked with the remote or when it's opened with the key. Any ideas?

It should always be blinking when the car is not running. Perhaps you never noticed before.

Yeah, I never noticed before that this light is always blinking. I was at a rest stop this morning and just sitting in the car and I couldn't miss the indicator flashing in the dark. Thanks for the info.
