Another rant about civic owners...

Why do Civic owners typically think they are racing gods or something? Seriously, all that I have met have this kind of condescending attitude toward me. Get this...

A while ago I was pulling up to the gas pump and a guy in a POS old black civic with a fart can on it flies past me, missing my opening door by inches, literally. Naturally, I slam the door shut in an instant and flash him both barrels through the windshield as he drives off up the road. I know he meant to do it because he was looking back and starts throwing his hands up in the air like, "WTF!" I mutter under my breath, "yeah come back you a...ole, I dare you" as my girlfriend sits there saying something about him being a f....ng idiot. I proceed to get out of the car and start pumping gas and, as I am undoing the gas cap, I notice over the top of my glasses and my car that he has pulled back in to the pump directly next to my car. He says, "hey man, did ahh...did you just flip me off back there?" I simply look at him in astonishment and say, "yeah, actually I did." Then he says, "Didn't anyone teach you that it's not polite to flip people off?" So I ask him if he's my father and he simply ignores it and repeats himself. I tell him that it's not polite to speed past other people as they're getting out of their cars and he ignores that too and says, "Is that ahh...your little girlfriend?" To which I just give him a look like, "are you f...ing stupid?" I am cold, tired hungry and had just finished a fight with her so I just tell him to leave. He says no, he wants an apology. WTF. "Get outta here now man, I'm telling you - just leave." NOPE - wants his apology. So, now that I am sufficiently pissed off I tell him to leave or I'm getting the gun out of the glovebox. He sits and stares like he doesn't believe me. I repeat myself and he pulls forward a little. I open the passenger door while my girlfriend screams at him to just leave as I stand there with the open door staring at him. He just sits there like a stupid f..k - so I reach down and open the glove box and stick my hand in. To this he squeals his tires and peels off down the road. I didn't have a gun. About two weeks later, sitting in front of Movie Gallery he pulls in and stares at my car (not at me) as he is walking into MG. When he comes out (I have been waiting for my younger brother) looks down at the hood of my car and spits at it but not on it and says, "f-ing Focus..." and gets in his car and leaves. Over a few months he did similar things whenever he saw me and after I got tired of ignoring it I spoke to a friend and he went to have a talk with him. I am not so big (6'1" - 140lbs) but my friend is about 6'3" and 230lbs. He didn't kick his ass but the guy hasn't so much as looked sideways at me since and always averts his eyes from my gaze.

Oh boy,I had on of these civic idiots today pull up next to me in Columbia, MD today. This guys was a g idiot. He had a POS green civic of course with a fart can. We are sitting a traffic light at Dobbin Road and MD 175. I hear him start reving his POS civic the next lane over as I try to ignore him. About 20 seconds later, my radar detector starts going off. Low and behold a howard county cop pulls up behind him. I start laughing my arse off 'cause he's still reving it up. The light goes green and he does a half ass burn out, flys accross the intersection, swerves and almost hits a pedistrian trying to cross the street at the shopping plaza on the other side of the road, and flys off. All I see next is the cop's lights come on as he goes after this . I wish I would've seen him get pulled over but I had take a left instead of going straight. Most Civic owners are complete idiots!

Wow, I know how some of them are. I am not like that. I drive a 91 CRX right now, (soon to have an 08 Focus coupe) & never drive like that. My car is the HF so its a dog! I'm getting 45mpg though. There is some "rice" out there & they really need to learn how to drive & respect the road. My 2 cents & my first post! woo hoo!

dont get much reving, very seldom any more, since their little group has a black maxima. he got seriously dusted at the track, and his is supposed to be the fastest.
whats funny is they ask why i just didnt build a honda (as theres 7 civics there looking the same). simply look at them and their cars, and say- i'm not one of the many sheep.
most don't have a clue what I'm talking about...

If you're like me you would have ignored him. Flipping him off would have been just the reaction he was looking for to cause further problems.

It's the reason he flew through the gas station in the first place.
If you don't respond to someones crazy behavior you challenge them to behave differently.

Well, in my 20/20 hindsight I fully agree with you - I regret doing so on that day for in a town of less than 6000 people I made him and a good number of his friends my enemies. Too bad... I don't fear them - I simply regret the fact that he and they will probably never help me in any way in the future (which means they can only hinder me), nor will I ever gain their respect. He is still a dumb-ass but you get my point, I'm sure.
