the pricing on the 05 focus is great. I priced out a 2005 st eqiped exactly like my 03 on forddirect.com, and it was only $1000 more... and the st has the 150 hp engine and the svt suspension. If I could find a sucker to buy my 03, I think I would try to get the st.

I happen to own the 2005 ST

If you decide on a lower package at least get the SES ( includes fog lights).

The ST is very responsive and quick of the line, and not only does it have the 2.3l engine, but a sport tuned exhaust ( minus the lunch box thing at the rear), SVT Suspension, Leather trimed suede seats ( option only on ST). If you can swing it get a ST over a SES.

i would say get the ST. i have driven one, and i loved it. you also might want to look around for an 04 SVT. if you can find one, you should get some pretty sweet rebates. just something to look into. if i had the $ for a new car, i would do one or the other.
