exhaust system

is there much different between a stealth muffler and an actual ZX3/ZX5 Exhaust - 16v Zetec ?

because the muffler from focus sport is $120 and i can afford that. is there much difference in performance?

Yeah, the only way you're going to gain anything is by actually replacing the pipe from the cat to the back (or flexpipe to the back in our case) or for a real upgrade get some sort of header, high flow cat and a matching diameter catback to replace the whole system. A common way to go is get a SVT header kit, high flow cat and a 2.5" catback (magnaflow and borla are very popular).

Edit: Honestly, the best way to do it is to just bite the bullet save the money and buy a $300+ system rather than trying to cheap skate your way through it.

kinda off topic but i don't wanna start a new thread, whats the best way to lower ur car? just getting the coil springs to lower it? or getting the full kit which is the springs, struts, shocks and bushings? springs r $120, the whole kit is just under $300

i havent lowered mine yet bc im broke lol, but from what ive read its bestto do it all at once. if you just do the springs you will probablly end up blowing your stock dampeners and having to replace them anyway. thats waht ive heard anyhows.

best way to lower it is with either
A:a mild drop on stock struts at around 1 to 1.5 inches

B:same but with svt struts for a siffer damper setting without going after market

c: a mtched set from a company like h@R or eibach

D: a full coilover fom an after market company like gaz or vogtland.

seeing as you are a cash strapped joe like me i reccomend saving for option c. its the best all around solution to get low and still be user friendly (adjustable stuff gets expensive fast)
